Enterno.io vs Better Uptime

Which monitoring service is right for your project?

Overview

Better Uptime is an uptime monitoring and incident management service, now shipping under the Better Stack brand. The company was founded in 2021 and operates out of Prague. The free tiers are close in volume — 10 monitors on both sides — but Better Stack checks them more often: every 3 minutes against our 5. The difference is focus. Better Stack is strong on incident management, on-call and telemetry; Enterno.io is built around diagnostics (57 tools: HTTP headers, DNS, SSL, page speed, security) and Russian jurisdiction with data stored in Russia.

Three steps to migrate

Honest: migration takes some manual work — no "1-click magic". But it is three clear steps.

  1. Export your monitors from Better Uptime

Most providers offer a CSV export of your monitor list (URL, name, interval). Save it locally — you will upload it in step 2.

    Help me export →
  2. Import the CSV into Enterno.io

Open /monitors → "Import" and upload the file. Enterno maps URL + interval automatically; you can adjust intervals to match your plan floor.

    Open import →
  3. Cut over webhooks and DNS subscriptions

Point your alerting endpoints (Slack/Telegram/PagerDuty) at the new Enterno webhooks, then disable monitors on Better Uptime. Run both in parallel for ~24h to be safe.

Monitoring & Incident Management

Better Uptime was originally built as an incident management tool with monitoring capabilities. It offers on-call schedules, escalations, and PagerDuty integration. For large DevOps teams this can be useful, but for most projects it is overkill and expensive. Enterno.io focuses on practical monitoring with automatic incident detection and Telegram notifications, covering the needs of 90% of users.

Analysis Tools

Better Uptime is limited to uptime and response time monitoring. Enterno.io offers a complete toolset: HTTP header analysis for security and caching checks, DNS Lookup, SSL analyzer with certificate chain validation, Ping with port checking, IP geolocation, and PageSpeed testing.

Pricing & Affordability

The free tiers are comparable in volume: Better Stack gives 10 monitors plus 10 heartbeat checks; Enterno.io gives 10 monitors plus access to every diagnostic tool. On free-tier check frequency Better Stack is ahead: 3 minutes against our 5. The gap runs the other way on paid plans. Better Stack prices in two parts: a "Responder" seat at $34/mo ($29 on annual billing), with monitors bought in packs — +50 for $25/mo; a white-label status page is billed separately at $250/mo. Enterno.io uses a flat ladder priced in roubles: 299 RUB for 30 monitors, 1,490 RUB for 150 monitors at a 60-second interval, 3,990 RUB for 750 monitors at 30 seconds — no per-user surcharge and no exchange-rate exposure. Better Stack figures verified at betterstack.com/pricing on 27 July 2026.

Localization & Data Hosting

Better Uptime is a US-based service with no Russian interface. All data is stored on foreign servers. Enterno.io is built for Russian-speaking users, supports bilingual interface (RU/EN), and hosts data on servers in Russia.

Where Better Uptime wins

  • More frequent checks on the free tier — every 3 minutes against 5 minutes on Enterno.io
  • Incident management: on-call rotations, shift schedules and escalation policies — Enterno.io has no equivalent module
  • Screenshot of the page at the moment it went down, plus a second-by-second incident timeline
  • Browser transaction tests on real Chrome — verifying login, checkout and other multi-step journeys
  • An official Terraform provider: monitors are declared as code and versioned alongside your infrastructure
  • A single platform covering logs, metrics and traces — the right call if you need full telemetry, not just uptime
