Splunk On-Call Native
A monitor outage opens an incident in Splunk On-Call (VictorOps) through the REST endpoint, and the recovery resolves it automatically.
Setup — 30 seconds
- 1 In Splunk On-Call: Integrations → REST Generic → copy the URL and replace $routing_key at its end with your routing key
- 2 Dashboard → Integrations → Splunk On-Call — paste the URL and save. The key in it is secret and is not shown again once saved
- 3 Press "Test delivery" — an INFO event is sent: a timeline entry, nobody is paged
- 4 Delivered means Splunk answered result=success for this incident; the recovery resolves the incident with the same entity_id
